Lets see what you writing goal looks like.
Create an image, movie, poster, sound clip, or something that tells that story of what it is you are working on with your writing goal.
Really looking forward to seeing it. How creative can you be?
Remember you can bring it to school, email it in or put it on your sandpit to show us. If you put it on your sandpit, email me so I can check it out.

Using google Maps for HOHL
From Richard
Wellington to picton
Picton in the
south island was our family holiday location.
We drove to Wellington ferry terminal
and that took us…
13 minutes. However
Not as long as it would take us if we had walked (not carrying any gear) = 3
hours and 40 minutes. Then we left windy Wellington
and sailed to picton. It took us 3 hours and 11 minutes. So in total it took us
3 hours and 24 minutes.

Hands on Home Learning - wk 6
Use Google Maps to find out how far it is to your favourite holiday location. ( real or pretend)
To go in the "ipad for a day" draw you need to:
- Send in an image proving that you used google maps to find your information.
- With the image provide an explanation about how you would get to your location if you went in a car, walked or caught the bus.
- Put you name in the draw by adding a comment to this blog telling us that you are in!:)
Cooks Beach in the Coromandel was our family holiday location. We drove via New Plymouth so it took us...
4 hours and 52 minutes to get to New Plymouth (that's without stops so you can imagine it took longer than that)
However not as long as if we had walked ( not carrying our camping gear)=2 days and 23 hours !!!!
Then we left the lovely New Plymouth and traveled to to Cooks beach. It took us 5 hours and 11 minutes
So in total 9 hours and 63 minutes!!! Driving that is. Is that correct? What should it be?
