Working together ( our Key Competency)
It has been lots of fun working with 3D in Palmerston North. Ben and Katelyn put together this intro to our explanation writing at assembly. And check out the great movie on the Ins & Outs blog. Looking forward to doing it again and maybe some other 'real' collaborative learning! Any great ideas?

Working Together- Our Key Competency.
- A Team gets stronger if they work together.
- It's harder to work together as the team gets bigger.
These are 2 quotes that we came up with after playing a rubber chicken game.
We knew that we had to work together to make it easier.
Working together looks like
- whole team knew what the goal was
- communicated so all could hear

We really were putting our skills to the test today
Today we used the iPad app 'Drawsomething' to draw and try to guess and spell some rather interesting things that our buddies from 3D created.
It was great fun to work in real time, with real opponents, and a real desire to try hard.
REAL LEARNING.!
Skyping through the process let us sort out a few thing! Really looking forward to doing this again.
Check out their blog for some cool pics. ( Sorry 7Wonders, we were a bit busy to capture the moment, next time!)
How about join our reflection on the Learning involved in this fun activity. Contribute to the doc!
Or maybe you like to use a Y chart to organise your thinking???

We have a real problem. Can you help?
On Monday next week we are going to muster all of our vocab, spelling and visualising skills. We are going to compete against some children that we don't know, in the game of 'drawsomething'.
All good you think? Well we have a dilema!
I am trying to organise enough sessions to make sure all children get to play ( Fair play being our Key Competency recently)
Problem is...... we have 5 devices, 30 children and only so much time.
1. What fraction of the class will get a turn if we only have 1 session? What fraction would miss out?
2. How would that change if I booked 10 ipads? or 15 ipads?
3. How many blocks of time do I need to book with the other class to ensure we all get a turn if we have 9(a) 5 ipads? (b) 10 ipads ( c) 12 ipads?
